BioShock fans will no longer have to wait for the upcoming live-action movie to witness one of the game’s iconic characters come to life. Nor do they have to visit the depths of Rapture to see him up close.

Thanks to the efforts of an ingenious graphic designer/prop maker, many gamers’ dreams, or rather nightmares, have come true.  Harrison Krix, an Atlanta resident, has created a full-sized Big Daddy suit straight out of the critically-acclaimed survival horror RPG shooter.

In the game, the Big Daddies, who are locked forever inside hulking atmospheric diving suits, are blighted souls who roam the dystopian underwater city of Rapture. Their singular task is to protect the childlike denizens of Rapture known as Little Sisters. continue reading…

The Fine City is set to look fine online thanks to the world’s most popular search engine. Singapore, the island state in Southeast Asia known for its high standard of living and well-organized society, has teamed up with Google to find local tourist spots that can be featured on the Internet.

Last month, the Singapore Tourism Board and Google asked Singaporeans to nominate places that could be viewed by the latter’s Street View trike. The trike or tricycle is the Lion City’s counterpart of the vehicles used by Google Street View, a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth.  continue reading…

Techno-talk nowadays is not just in the high-res but high-def mode as well. After the introduction of high-definition (HD) capabilities in top-of-the-line devices from camcorders to LCD screens, HD is now becoming more common in cheap, quick-shooting devices.

The trend especially got a really good boost from popular online video sharing websites like YouTube, which offered HD back in 2008.
