Get out of the way! Motor Trend magazine has announced the winner of the Truck of the Year contest and it’s a doozy: the brand spanking new 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty pickup truck.

Of course, the Dodge Ram may have had an easier time given that only four models met Motor Trend’s criteria for the competition of being new or substantially changed. Moreover, only two of the four were actual trucks, i.e. the Dodge Ram and the Toyota Tundra 4.6-liter work truck.

Here’s a driving tip for you: if you’re ever lost while driving, make sure you’re driving a Ford.

According to a recent navigation system survey commissioned by JD Power and Associates, Ford managed to rank first and second with their Clarion navigation systems in their Lincoln MKS and Ford Flex respectively.

Likewise, the survey noted that Ford took five of the top ten slots: the Ford F-150 was at 4th place, the Ford Escape was at 7th while the Ford Edge followed at 8th.  Meanwhile, non-Ford vehicles were ranked accordingly: the Acura TL was at 3rd, the Porsche 911 was at 5th, the Cadillac CTS was at 6th, the Hyundai Genesis was at 9th, and the Infiniti FX-series was at 10th. continue reading…

Luxury is spelled L-e-x-u-s, especially if it’s the on-the-road type.

Building on the success of the company’s first luxury hybrid SUV, the new RX 400h Hybrid is different from its successors in that it features unique front bumper, blue-tinted headlamps and taillamps, an exclusive grille, hybrid badging with blue-trimmed Lexus logos, and a distinct 19-inch wheels.

The vehicle was conceptualized as the “ultimate active lifestyle vehicle” by Toyota Motor Sales, The Big American Dream (B.A.D.) Company, Microsoft, Kicker, Toyota Racing Development, INNO Advanced Car Racks and Cannondale. continue reading…
