After the slowdown and standstill of ‘08 and ‘09, we’re all looking forward to get on the fast lane this new year. So, are you ready to spend and hit the road in style this 2010?

If so, then go get a roadster, that two-door type of car that’s always been a ruling member of road royalty. And when making the list, consider the BMW Z4 sDrive35is.

Set to make its world debut at the January 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan, this coup of a coupe is the latest in the German luxury automaker’s famed Z4 series. BMW’s website describes this new spider as “combining classic proportions with modern sportiness,” and is confident that it will surely be at the top of its market segment due to its impressive features. continue reading…

Get out of the way! Motor Trend magazine has announced the winner of the Truck of the Year contest and it’s a doozy: the brand spanking new 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty pickup truck.

Of course, the Dodge Ram may have had an easier time given that only four models met Motor Trend’s criteria for the competition of being new or substantially changed. Moreover, only two of the four were actual trucks, i.e. the Dodge Ram and the Toyota Tundra 4.6-liter work truck.

It could also be a case of timing: the Dodge Ram will be hitting the market a full year ahead of the heavy-duty trucks from Ford’s Super Duty and General Motors’ Silverado/Sierra. continue reading…

The German company’s latest incarnation of its popular supermini car was recently chosen as European Car of the Year by a panel of journalists from various automobile magazines such as Stern (Germany), Auto (Italy), Autocar (UK), and L’Automobile Magazine (France). Started in 1964, the award is also one of the oldest and most esteemed in Europe. continue reading…
